SueMuddy Colors To Peaceful Painting
Before joining the Institute, my biggest struggle was with muddy colors. I was painting with approximately 20 colors, and I could create mud from all 20. Now I paint with seven colors.
These are students in Pomm's Watercolor Institute. It is a year-long coaching room. You paint, you put the work up, and someone looks at the actual page.
On these videos they talk about live critique instead of pausing YouTube, Pomm's five-phase way of building layers, using fewer colors so the painting stays clear, and being willing to show the work.
If that sounds like the room you want, book a call with the team. No payment to book.

I think it is the individual attention, you know, that you and the team answer people's questions or give them guidance, or just confidence that they did a good job.
While she's demonstrating, she's talking, she's telling you why she's doing things where when you're watching a video, you're not getting that.
I was really concerned about the cost. That was difficult for me. It was very worthwhile. And it was a good investment. I already know that.
All you need are three colors, not four dozen different tubes of paint, just those three primaries.
I've done the introductory things and then I've done two paintings, but I just see changes dramatically.
I painted more in the last month, well, since I started than I have in years, probably since COVID.
You're never stuck really, because you can always send in the, on the website, and ask for feedback.
This class is a godsend. It's a blessing. And I highly recommend it for anyone out there.
I had no plan. After joining Pomm, Pomm offers critique of my paintings through phase one and through phase five. I now have a plan.
She's got like this five phase way of dealing with the art, layers upon layers upon layers with the watercolor and getting true beautiful clear colors.
They don't talk and they go so fast. So I found myself hitting pause. She always gets back to us.
I'm not afraid to show my art now.
My husband just said, look at this. Look how much better each picture has gotten.
This is an outlet for me to kind of just forget it all and just paint.
A year-long coaching community around Pomm's layered watercolor method. Students paint, post the work, and get critique through the phases. It is separate from the standalone Academy courses.
The students on this page say the difference is feedback on their own painting. Janet talks about hitting pause on videos that do not talk. Sandy says a live class lets you be heard. Don says he had no start-to-finish plan until the five phases.
It is Pomm's sequence for building a painting in layers. Jan says it is layers on layers for clear color and shadow. Don says he can look at a subject and know phase one through phase five.
Sue went from about 20 colors that made mud to seven. Kathleen says three primaries opened secondary and tertiary mixes.
